Information Collection

Mayfly Life stores the following data locally on your device:

Your birthday (to calculate your character's age)
Your lucky list items
Daily mayfly records and reflections
App preferences and settings

This data is stored using your device's local storage and never leaves your device.

Data Transmission

Your personal content (birthday, lucky list, records, and reflections) stays on your device and is never transmitted to external servers. The only data that leaves your device is anonymous diagnostic information sent to Google Firebase (see Third-Party Services below).

Third-Party Services

Mayfly Life uses the following Google Firebase services. Neither is used for advertising, and we do not collect advertising identifiers:

Firebase Analytics - anonymous app-usage statistics (such as app opens and feature usage) used to understand how the app is used and improve it. No personal content is included.
Firebase Crashlytics - on the Android app only, anonymous crash and diagnostic data (stack traces, device model, OS version, and app state at the moment of a crash) used to find and fix stability issues. Not used on the web version.

Google's handling of this data is governed by the Firebase Privacy and Security policy.

Data Security

Your data is protected by your device's built-in security features. We recommend keeping your device secured with a passcode or biometric authentication.

Data Deletion

You can delete all app data at any time by:

Uninstalling the app from your device
Clearing the app's data through your device settings

Children's Privacy

Mayfly Life does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is designed for general audiences seeking mindfulness and daily reflection.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
